Our first-floor apartment has been refurbished to an exceptionally high standard and is just metres from Edinburgh's world-famous Royal Mile. Step outside and you are in the heart of the historic Old Town.
The apartment sits on New Street, a quiet turn off the bustle of the Royal Mile. From street level a short flight of communal stairs brings you to the first floor. Inside, a hallway with coat hanging and a full-length mirror leads to a bright open-plan living room with a corner sofa, a dining table for four that extends to seat six, a Freeview smart TV and a shelf of books. There are views to Calton Hill and a Juliet balcony over the back courtyard.
The kitchen is fully equipped for self catering: oven, gas hob, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, fridge freezer, Nespresso coffee machine, toaster and kettle.
Both bedrooms are made up with white linen and towels. Bedroom 1 looks towards the Royal Mile, bedroom 2 faces the courtyard. Each can be set up as one superking bed or two singles, whichever suits your party. Tell us your preference after booking and it will be ready when you arrive. Hanging space and a hairdryer are provided in each room.
The tiled bathroom has a shower over the bath, heated towel rail and a large wall mirror. Wifi is free, there are USB charging points around the flat, and an iron and board plus a drying rail are provided. A travel cot and high chair are available on request.
Edinburgh Castle, Holyrood Palace, Waverley Station, the bus station and the festival venues are all within a few minutes on foot, along with cafes, restaurants, pubs, museums and theatres. The nearest supermarket is a short walk on Holyrood Road. Day trips to the East Lothian coast, St Andrews, the Highlands and the whisky trail are all easy from here, and at the end of the day you come back to the comfort of the apartment.
